Anneyong Haseyo - 7 - 9 April 2012

salam allz..im super bz for the past week...didnt hv time to update my blog....uhuhuhuuuhuu..n im bit bz editing pics before upload it here..

so this entry will be talking about my executive development program (EDP) in COTI, Korea..as u all know, i've been luckily choosen to be among the 20 delegates from government officials to experience and gain knowledge on korean lifestyle and hectic life...

Background: pls read previous entries on how the selection of participants being made..

Our flite was on 7 apr..we catch midnite flite and arrived in Incheon International Airport around 7.35am..the weather is quite cold (since msia is hot)..hehehe..i think it was 12c...there was officers from Msian embassy who greet us just out of our plane, Pn Dinatra (it is an honour!)..then we met the program officer from korean government..mr park moon kyu..

 After settle with all lugagges (passing the imigration at the airport is not easy..it use biometric (fingerprint n retina to rectify the passport - no photos is allowed) we were taken by bus to our hotel...during the trip, mr park greet n explain the development of Korea..for example..there are 27 bridge accross the Han River (seriously 27 ok..we msian are so bz building the 2nd bridge of penang..hehehhe)..it shows the advancement of their technology n it is possible to build bridges as many as possible..n may b it is associated with their pali-pali culture (i dont know the exact spelling,but it is cepat-cepat culture)..korean want it fast n the result also fast..

Once reaching the hotel, everything is well prepared..

Except that we cannot check in..but perhaps were given task to explore Seoul on our own..we were divided into 5 groups (4 in a group) and given 20000 won each..so the mission start..my group headed to i park mall and namdaemun market..first of all we have to study the subway map..it is well integrated and somehow it is easy to go anywhere using the subway..

During lunch - it was difficult to explain to the waitress what we want..at last we manage it and we found Korean food are delicious.one bowl of rice is enough to satisfy our hunger...plus KIMCHI...

after completion of our mission, we headed towards hotel, check in, refresh and gather for the orientation wrap -up...

Apr 8 - having breakfast at the hotel..(mind u - one of the waitress is serious looking lady) then leave for COTI...everyone was bz taking pics in the bus..so jakun..hahahhaha.

The day start with opening ceremony.. president of COTI, Dr. Yoon Eun Key officiate the ceremony...and officers from Malaysian Embassy also come...

 Our lecture start with Korean History, Culture and Society..it was given by Dr. Kim Hun-Min..beautiful lady!..her lecture introduce to us the fact and truth of Korean lifestyle..their fast culture...their taught, food, family, the high cost of living in Seoul, population, economy, growth and development and so on...

Then the lecture continue with Public Service System and HR Policy in Korea presented by Prof. Emeritus Park Kyung-Bae. His lecture is a non-boring one..we had a good laugh and enjoy his session. He talks about performance and the increment that one can get. HR Policy in Korea is base on performance. Respect is their lifeline.

later that nite, we went to Myeong-dong to watch NANTA performance..its about cooking performance.it was really energetic performing art..the crowd not only consist by the Korean but also foreign tourist...and they got big round of applause by the crowd..esp the lady..hehehehhe
